Default Reflex xtr

After being some what annoyed that I would have to buy a new interface and software for the G3 Update, I decided to try the reflex XTR sim. I paid.

I piad 119 pounds for the software and the interface cable to plug in my JR x378.

The first thing I noticed was the graphics. I can only describe them as fantastic, the planes are great and the backdrops are gorgeous.

After installing the first thing to do is to install the update from www.reflex-sim.de This gives you lots more stuff such as indoor flying and fixes lots of other things.

The first thing I flew was the shock flyer in the sports hall and being a avid fan of indoor and owning one of these planes I was taken aback as to how realistic the physics are. On G2 when you clipped the floor it normally crashed the model, Not so with this. It looks and feels so real.

I took it to a friends who own G2 and he said from the very first time he took off and flew that this was far better physics. The planes do fly like the real thing. He has an extra in real life that struggles to flat spin in this sim he also struggles. Yet he managed to flat spin other craft properly which he felt was better than G2.

The helicopters look great and as far as my fling skills go they fly well.

I am not sorry for switching from realflight as I was fed up with the lack of free extra's and stuff missing like twinjets etc.

Reflex XTR as loads of planes for free and you can make your own from your own pics. Couple that with the ability to mod the flying fields with pictures of your own

9/10 for Reflex, a great sim.

Hi Rick,

Pretty HEAVY price for XTR, just kidding ;-)

I too really like the new Reflex XTR. I still have to work (play) with the program more.

Have you made any changes to wind or other settings to make for a more realistic flying experience??

Thanks, Mark

Rick, did you have any problem with 5.01? It worked well for a bit and then trying to go back an forth between Heli's and fixed wing, I was getting errors. I uninstalled and reinstalled without 5.01 and it works fine now.
