Default G2 and WindowsXP

Installed RF G2 on WindowsXP (new computer) and get a mostly blank white screen when the program switches to the "airport". The airplane motor sound is fine - - just can't see anything. Kind of like trying to fly in a white-out blizzard. The startup screens appear normal (loading the various elements just before you begin flying) The program worked fine with Windows ME. Any thoughts? Thanks.

if you would like help you will have to provide more info

first bet is you are still using the stock XP video drivers and you need to update

but if you have done that then we will need more info on your system

Hardware, OS updates, driver versions, that sort of thing

smobax,

This was a common problem a while back with G2 ... mostly due to how certain video cards render fog. The two solutions are:

1. turn off fog
2. download the latest G2 update ... this fixed the problem for most cards

Good luck!

Turned off the fog and Shazaam, there was the airport crystal clear. That was a rather dumb question on my part but that's why I like the forums. Thanks guys
