Default G3 Runways?

Hi all. I bought G3 yesterday, installed everything, and got right in the air off of a grass runway. I then switched to a (supposedly) paved runway, only to find another grass strip. I checked the graphics settings, all maxed, restarted the sim, but no difference. Anyone know what the problem could be?

Do you have any of the RF volumes 1 through 5. You might check and see if the paved runways are on Vol. 1 or 2.
Check with GreatPlanes Tech Department and see what they say.
I installed G3 and then all five volumes and I have all paved runways If the certain flying field calls for it. The baseball field & socker field have grass runways.

dash9_man: What video card are you running? You might check to see how current your drivers are for that one as well. The other thing to try is to change some of the graphics settings to see if this has an affect on anything.

Best regards,
Mark

ATI Mobility Radeon 9000, with what I believe are the most current drivers.

When you say you switched to a paved runway, what do you mean? Did you switch airports or edit your current airport? If you give me more details I'll probably be able to help you.

The issue was trying to fly from any airport with a paved runway. However, it seems that Great_Planes' suggestion of turning off clouds has fixed the problem....still don't quite get that....

Your graphics card is not able to handle the rendering of the clouds and detailed textures at the same time.
