Default Aerofly Pro. Deluxe

Hi guys,

I have got my Aerofly Pro. Deluxe today. Using with my old Graupner MC 12. I liked it very much. ( After FMS, it is out of this World ) As I dont know anything about Real Flight I cannot compare the two sims. I want to practice 3D flights mostly.

I wish everyone a happy new year (and merry christmas) and a sim of his choice.

Regards.

Zafer

I just mailed my original CD and interface to Ikarus-USA so that I can get the upgrade. It seems silly that they want the old one back first. I guess they don't trust us. Too bad as every other software upgrade I've ever paid for didn't require this silly step.

What do you think would happen if I send my old G2 in to them for an upgrade? Think I'd get a rebate from them?

The upgrade maybe something I consider bringing to Toldeo show for an immediate exchange. Why should I lose flying time due to mistrust?

I have the original AFP, and it's a blast to play around with. Here is P-51D "Miss Marilyn II" that I created in AFP:

I have AFP too (not deluxe). I don't really see a need to upgrade at this point. However, the ability to create your own planes seems cool. It looked at the files, but it all seems so cryptic to do. Is there an easier way to do it? Richard, that P51 looks great, BTW!

It's easy to make your own color scheme if the plane loads in textures from an external source. In the case of the Mustang, I downloaded the modified Mustang from rcsim.de and used Photoshop to modify the textures.

Here is Pappy Boyington's Corsair sitting on the deck of an aircraft carrier:

Does the AFP Deluxe come with a controller?

There are two versions: one comes with a controller and the other comes with a cord that plugs into your own transmitter.

So the G2 controller will work? I hate having to drag my TX out and set everything up. It's just easier if you've got a controller that's hooked up all the time. Thanks for your help...

I'm using my spare beater TX with AFP and use my higher end TX to fly real models. I like the feel of a real TX on AFP much better.

Here are some shots of MM on AFP D. Great job! I'll have it hosted for you Monday for dload. Keep them coming!

There are tutorials on skinning, making new models and sceneries in the new AFP Support Forum in simulators.

Hi ,

I have downloaded free aircrafts From OMP site for the sim. One of them was extra330S (Vtoc), I have changed the CG from 2 to -10 cm. Made engine from 7Kw to 9 Kw. Now it hovers by itself. I thought it would be very sensitive on elevators. But to my surprise it is not. It just takes of and lands like the one w/o mod. Could anyone tell me how realistic it is. Anything like that has a chance to fly in real world. (Because I am not good at all in hovering and 3D (yet)).

Thanks and regards.

well it is more realistic with no mod what so ever... if it will hover by itself its not real... With no mods it is a great flying plane TORqe rolls great, harriers, waterfalls, not so fast blender but OK, it will also parachute ... has a slight snap tendency but not bad...
The purpose of a sim is to practice real life flying. not to mod it out of realizm to where it doesnt help with your real world flying

Richard, you never disappoint. Although I am not a huge follower of the P51 (too ubiquitous), your TF is absolutely stunning!

Give me the details on it! Wingspan? Engine? Retracts? Really, spectacular plane!

hgiles, I posted some pictures of my plane in the Warbirds forum: [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_1377961/anchors_2466605/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#2466605]TF P-51D Mustang[/link]

You can read more about it there. It's the 1/7 scale Gold Edition version. Unfortunately, it was poorly built by another builder, and nothing turned out straight. The plane looked great because I spent five weeks trying to fix some of the mistakes and detailing it.

Hey Richard your plane is now free for download!

aeroflypro.com/download under Warbirds.

How about a Tuskeegee P-51. Like to see that, so would lots of others.

Keep em coming!

Hey Dion, do you have some nice pictures of a Tuskeegee P-51 that I could use? I would need some top views and side views.
