Of the available sims, (RF G3, AFP, and XTR) do any of those have landing gear damage resulting from a hard landing? I have bounced a few planes pretty hard in G3, and havent noticed any damage.


Id like it if G3 had realistic damage from landing/stress and gave you a report after the flight. DO any of the other sims do that?

XTR has landing gear damage.

Yeah, so does AFPD... You'd be amazed at how hard it is to land a heli after knocking one of the skids off.. LOL....

i just got the G3, but im scared to open it up, after all i've read about it. AFPD sounds like the way to go, kinda wish i;d kept my G2 now.[]

I have to be honest with you... I used to own G2 (sold it to buy AFPD), and have used a friends G3... The G3 looked just like G2 to me... More planes, but a silly interface... Can't change nearly as much about the aircraft as you could in G2, all kinda weird things like flying along and Smash, even though you were no where near any objects, taxi down a runway and the plane acts like it hit a sinkhole, etc... There was also something about the physics... I couldn't quite put my finger on it... Lots have complained about the G2 physics... for 3D, they sucked.... for normal flight they seemed pretty realistic to me on MOST models... In G3, everything seems "off".. I still haven't figured out what....

My AFPD is another story... The graphics are awesome, the physics for both general flying and 3D are great. I was a little disappointed in the heli's.. Though after playing around with my heli for 2 days I finally got it tweaked to fly realistically.... It wasn't the sim, it was the stock helis that were way off.. If your into fixed wing though, you can't go wrong with it....

Relfex XTR I haven't tried yet... I'm debating on ordering a copy, but not really sure I want to spend the money now that I have AFPD and am happy with it... From what I've heard though it is basically on par with AFPD as far as physics and graphics... Heli's out of the box I think are better on Reflex...

I guess what I'm saying is you may want to consider returning the G3 if you can... I have a friend who just bought his a week or two ago and is now looking for AFPD...
