Anybody ever see his version of this? I think I am finally getting the hang of it. Yes I know it's not technically a torque roll but it's the closest thing to looking like it. You get into a hover and hold full left aileron while alternating the elevator and rudder to keep you vertical while you roll. It's pretty fun. I learned this watching one of his latest AFPD videos using the Extra 300S. It's basically the same stick movements of a left rolling harrier but pointing straight up the entire time. I can do it holding full right aileron as well but it doesn't roll much at all (counter acting the torque roll form the engine).

Always cool to learn some new stuff. Thanks Maarten! I gotta say that the things you can learn on this sim are unlimitied. Anyone that doesn't have this sim is really missing out. BTW, I don't even have the Deluxe and I'm still floored by this sim after a year.

I've never seen anyone do it on the field or in any videos with a giant gasser. I've seen lots of guys do a walkaround, but that's childs play compared to circle torque roll.

Next I want to see him to it with his new 33% Extra!

That's right I forgot, he actually does this in a circle. So there is yet one more level of complexity. I'm just glad to have the first part down. I'll get the circle going next. Maarten does some unreal stuff. I'm glad to have pilots out there pushing me to get better. One look at his video and I'm like "I suck, time to practice".
