ORIGINAL: rightflyer

I just got G3 and was wondering if there are any airports available for indoor flying? I don't want to wait for the Add-on if I don't have to.
There is a sport hall here: http://www.rcheliace.com/G3%20Photo%20fields.htm

Check out the zoom function. You can use manual or auto-zoom.

Yes, the zoom functions will help you. Press Z to cycle through the zoom modes, +/- keys to zoom. Also know that the problem of flying away from yourself is something you will have to overcome if you intend to fly a real model, so while it may be frustrating at first, it's great practice.

Would it be a big benefit in buying a new video card to look for 256mb versus a 128mb? (same card, but more $$)

Hi All - Well I've been running G2 for about 4 years now. My brother picked up G3, and so I thought I'd upgrade so we can share airports. New question. I switched it over to Full Screen by using the Alt - Enter, and it worked fine. I press the Alt key and the menu pops up towards the top of the screen where it should. It is in a much smaller font/format however. Still works fine though. The problem is when I use the ALT - F4 key, instead of coming out of Full Screen and returning to the regular default, it just shuts the program down as if I hit Exit. Any ideas? I am currently down loading the latest update, so maybe it will take care of itself, but I just thought I'd ask.

Thanks
GPutt33

I did the latest update version of G3 which allows you to download airplanes that you already have on it, however, I would like the basics on how to do this. I downloaded a zip file and extracted it, put it in the program file G3 under the planes folder, however, the plane is not showing up when I go to the select aircraft option on G3.
I also would like to know how to download paint colorschemes. I step by step help would be good.

I am having trouble downloading paint schemes to my latest version of G3. I have the airplane already in my select aircraft.
Here's what happens. I downloaded the paint scheme in a zip file. I extracted the zip file. There are 3 files in there.
1. .plnG3 extension
2. .dds extension
3. colorscheme extension
I went to the import option of G3 and none of the files came up as they were not .g3x.
I then changed then renamed the extension of all three files to .g3x.
When I tried to import each one, it said "import failed"
What do I do?

It looks like you got some assistance in another thread. Let me know if you still need help.
Where can I get G2?
It's no longer on the shelves, so an online auction/classifieds site is your best option.

Neb, all you need is the adaptor, plug it into the back of the interlink and into the trainer port of your Futaba transmitter.

I have close to the same system but only 512 ram. I do however have a 256mb Raidon 9600 card. G3 works very well for me.

for those asking about their cpu specs and if g3 can be played on it, you should check out the demo. i would think if you were able to play on the demo the full version should be ok
