Default 16 bit subsystem error when installing simulater

I'm having a problem installing a simulater that came with a helicopoter I just purchased. It's an error box that says 16 bit error 32 exe or something like that. I had this same problem when installing real flight g2 and was walked through it by a great planes phone rep. I hate to bother them in regards to a sim that isn't theire's. Can anyone help me around this again i was told its a windows service pack 2 issue. It wasnt all that hard of a fix i just dont remember how to do it
SOMEONE please help thanks!!

It's a sim from rc expert, Im not sure of the name but I think its called true flight the exact error message says "C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose close to terminate the application". Like I said before I have encountered this same problem and it really wasnt a difficult fix I had to cut and paste a program in the the repair file of windows but I have forgotten how? I was told by real flight that this error has top do with windows service pack 2. I would appreciate any help out there?? I do not believe that this has anything to do with the sim im trying to load because it did the same thing to me on the oem version of real flight g2

1. copy c:\windows\repair\autoexec.nt (easier to search for file)

2. paste into c:\windows\system32

Good job giles, but I would like to add the following

Step 3:

Go into c:\windows\system32 and right click on the newly copied autoexec.nt and mark it Read-Only.

There are left overs from spyware that will continually try to delete this file.....If you mark it read only, this problem will not come back.

tried to mark autoexec.nt as read only but wont let me as it is being used by another programme. Have'nt had any problem so far but will keep it in mind next time this happens.
