I just installed AFPD and according to this [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/Does_the_RealFlight_controller_work_for_AFP%2FAFP_ Deluxe%3F_Yes_it_does%21/m_2454732/tm.htm]THREAD[/link] you can use a G2 controller. I have tried everything I can think of and have not been abe to get Aerofly to recognize the G2 USB controller? I dont have the commander version or a 'real' radio so I am unable to use my copy of AFPD. Any help would be appreciated.

Use Windows Update to dload latest patch for you USB handlers. We've had hundreds of successful AFP(D) users use both the G2 and G3 controller.
It's not the software, it's a USB conflict.

Do you have the cable plugged in that came with AFPD? that still has to be plugged in...
does the G2 controller show up in the Windows Control panel as a joystick?
in AFPD there is a button that says Controller (or something like that) which do you have chosen for model #1...
if it is transmitter, change it to Joystick

Yeah the dongle is plugged in and the G2 controller shows up in the control panel. It just doesn't show up in AFPD for some reason. I used to use my Hitec radio (optic6) as a cotroller but I sent it in to Hitec for repair and they have had it for weeks.

Yes I have applied the latest patch. I also have the sound problem where you get no sound unless you set your speakers to "desktop stereo" I wonder if that might have anything to do with it?
