Ok... Dont be to harsh. I'm still new and learning to fly but here is a video I put together of Realflight G3. I do enjoy the simulator and it has helped me improve greatly with my ParkZone J-3 Cub.
The Song is from the band "Five for Fighting" and is called "Superman".

So out of curiosity. It looks like from your videos that AFP heli's don't quite handle as they would in real life
. How do you think G3 is? I've never flown a real heli and they seem easier for me to fly than I would think from what I have read. I've been thinking about buying a GWS Mini Dragonfly for a while (cause it is cheap and comes RTF) but I've not been sure that the sim is teaching me right.

I never said I thought they were easy. I said they have seemed to be easier than I thought they would be in the game and I was asking if G3 was an accurate representation of a heli. I am aware that if I get one I will crash it a lot
Sorry if my question was not clear enough.

The helis on realflight g2 are awesome, I flew g2 for about 2 or 3 months be4 i got my first heli, it didnt take long at all to get off the training gear, I could do loops and rolls after only a few months of flying it in real life. But I quit flying helis and im really rusty so I cant really tell the physics improvements on the helis. But airplanes are awesome!!!!!

In short, I don't think AFP simulates helis well. ANY change you make to the heli simply cannot be regarded as producing realistic results (such as changing engine power). I do think AFP is pretty good for airplanes though (although they are a bit floaty). My current sim favorite is definately G3, but as you have probably seen, G3 requires a hefty video card to run at respectable framerates. AFP's largest audience is definately airplane pilots, and its obvious they put more effort into the fixed wing simulation than heli (nothing wrong with that I guess).
I have progressed in my skills MUCH more since I got G3 than I ever did with AFP.

I'm currently running G3, I guess I'm one of the few that has had no problems with the software. My computer is set up for gaming though so I would hope it doesn't
I've been flying planes now for about a year. So I consider myself a newb. I'm slowly progressing with planes and just recently purchased RealFlight about 2 months ago. I can already see that I've improved greatly with the sim. I've never crashed my ParkZone J-3 Cub. Good landings every time. Even moved the throws for the first flight. The sim helped me learn how to trim the plane and even got me ready for my first loops. I even feel so much more comfortable in higher winds with the cub than before. Used to never go out to the field with more than 2mph winds. The sim has made me much more confident.
That said I've been looking at that heli for a while. Every time I pass it in the hobby store it calls my name lol. Along with pretty much any plane I see
I'll look into the honey bee though. I have read good things about the honey bee and generally bad things about the GWS dragonfly. Something about that box always calls to me when I see it.
Good to know that you like G3 for heli's. I'm glad I'm not wasting my time playing with them in the sim and that it's actually helping.
Thanks for your response.
Eric

Hey Guys,
I'm sure your going to agree with me on this one. This is one of the best videos on RCU

If you like you could down load the plane at General Aviation Aircraft www.aeroflypro.com/download
have fun.

I don't about anyone else, but it looks like all the videos from AFPD, the planes are floating! Doesn't look that real to me......the graphics are nice, but the physics are way off!

Either way we will let you return it after your try it. But nobody ever returns it .... when you get it, you'll see why. The physics are not way off.
