OK here is the story. My fiances computer uses both USB ports for the moniter, and mouse. I installed a USB hub, and had everything working. I controller, mouse. everything was beautiful till I installed G2 lite. The program installed hotfix? I believe was the program to fix a stacking problem with WIN 98 FE. When the puter re-booted, the USB ports were completely trashed. only thing working is my moniter. I had to install a serial mouse so that I could search the web for solutions. Anyone have the same problem?? I have tried removing everything and re installing the hub, and so far nothing has worked.
I am really going to be in deep doo doo with the ole lady if I can't at least get this machine back to normal. please help me!!!!!!!!!!

You might try uninstalling G2 Lite. Also check in your "Add/Remove Programs" window (from control panel) to see if there is an uninstall for the hotfix that was installed. The reboot your machine.
Good luck . . . Bill

I'd start by going into the control panel, opening up the system and looking for conflicts there. The Universal Serial Bus controllers, when expanded should at least have the Root hub and Host controller.
If that doesn't work, check the mouse just in the USB port, not the hub that you are using, it may be the hub is faulty. never know about these things.. So since this is RC related, do you pay the PC tech with props??

Well I tried both those suggestions.. I removed the Hub from the system.. Uninstalled G2 and tried re installing the USB routers.. Unfortunately it looks like hotfix modified not only software, but also the registry.
I fear I am totally screwed. I am going to try and save what I can tonight, and re install the OS with WiN 98 SE. It just sucks that I have to do that. It would have been nice if I could have installed the G2 without the hotfix. It should give you a choice.
