Default G2 multiplayer connection problems

Sometimes I have problems when joining a session, it starts to load, then it just goes to the flying site I was flying at before and nobody is there... anyone know whats going on here? It only does it sometimes. It loads the multiplayer flying site and the other players planes, but then starts loading my old flying site and my old plane. Im not behind a firewall or a NAT, and im on dialup. Could it be MS' DirectPlay? I have heard that there are some minor problems with it.

Thanks.

I have a similar problem... cable modem.

1. Syncs up
2. Loads the airport
3. See a few planes
4. Take off and then

BAM!.... Says that I "cannot connect to at least one player"

I log back in and see everybody else still flying around.

I had a lot of problems on multiplayer until I did this:

Go to Start, Run, type in msconfig.
Click on Selective Startup, then unclick load startup items (I think that's what it says....I'm on my laptop now and it doesn't have that option)
Click ok
Restart PC

This will kill all programs that start up automatically when your pc is started......I had lots of problems on multiplayer before I tried this, now I rarely have a problem.
