Default G2 Transmitter Problem

My friend's G2 Tx Box was knocked off his desk by his kid. Ouch!! It does not work anymore, you can hear broken pieces inside..

Is there another way to use G2 without it's own tx ? Can a fms cable be used with your actual radio? Is there any other ways around this?
Our local hobby shop told him that you cannot purchase the radio seperately.

He's really going through G2 withdrawls..

I would open up the box and see what fell off it might mean soddening back on a capacitor and you are back in business. What do you have to loose it is already broken.

My hobby shop stocks the G2 Interlink for $80 or $90. You should be able to get one. Have you tried tower? I'm sure they have 'em.
