Default Reflex XTR or The Real Thing

Sorry if this has been asked before,
But are Flight Sims any good compared to the real thing ??
I have flown IC for many years and have just got a 3D electric model and want to learn how to do the manoeuvres like - The Harrier - Hovering - Torque Rolling -Etc
So if i could practice these with Reflex XTR it would save a few smashed planes plus all those times you cant fly because of the weather
Or do I just practice the real thing????????????

Cheers

I don't fly 3d, but it can't hurt to practice on a sim first. I practiced all my inverted flight maneuvers on my computer until I felt comfortable doing it in real life. Crash 20 times on the computer = $1000.00++ in real life...that's how I look at it.

You need to add another 0 on your dollar amount.
