I have posted [link=http://clearviewrc.com/ClearViewSetup417.exe]v. 4.17 of ClearView [/link] that can import FMS models. The import feature is for any .x FMS model. Since this is first release with the model import, if you encounter model that fails to import, please e-mail me the link to the model or the zip file. This version is still in testing and will be available on this link only for now. In some cases, some extra work is needed with text editor on materials or with ac3d adding props and spinning main blades for better results.

I recently purchased clearview and i think it is a great bargain. I absolutely get a kick out of flying the little indoor plane at the gym. The graphics are fantasix for 30.00 and the flying characteristics (especially stalling and maneuvers are right on.
Couple things I would like to know about. In flying some of the aerobatic planes, the controls are touchy and going to easy set up and toning them down does not seem to help.
Also when trying to import planes from "ken's site" it tells me that the plane is not ready because of some drawing I do not remeber. Now I get throttle but plne is invisible!! Not sure what I did wrong.

This is Ken...You do not import the planes...you just simply unzip the folder in the models directory...If you have imported any..please delete the folders that it created for that model and unzip the ones from my site in the models directory that Clearview has created. The readme included with the zip files explains this..as well as the webpage on my site. When you change in the setup or advanced setup menu ..you must reload the plane by re-slecting it from the dropdown list in order for the changes to take effect.

DON'T be ambarrased...what has probably happend is that when you unzipped it created a second folder underneath the model folder...check it...most likely you will see another folder....example: under the models folder should be a folder with the plane or heli name...under that should be 3 files and 2 subfolders (data & wavedata)....let's say the model was Funtana, under the models directory should be a fiolder called Funtana, underneath that should be 2 params files and a readme, two subfolders, one called data and the other called wavedata. If you dont see these but you see another folder called Funtana..then you have unzipped the 1 folder too deep.
