I will answer that question then. It happens whenever it feels like it. When I'm flying with Rick, that might be caused because of all this trojan STL gave him. He has a lot of software running now and that could be causin a problem.

What Alma is trying to say, and lets keep this civilized, is that if AFPD models are going to be copied for G3, then the same thing is going to happen for AFPD. Modelers will no longer have respect for copyright owners. This in turn will make for a major "sim war". People will start doing it for XTR and so forth. Do you understand now?

Over the last few years, XTR and AFPD models and trim schemes were not blatantly copied. But now with the release of G3, some people don't realize you can't blatantly copy copyrighted models and trim.

Rick knew he was not supposed to copy IPACS models, and he did it anyway. If you go into your G3 model folder for the Giles, Mower and Extra Shockflyer you can clearly see they were 3 viewed and copied from AFPD. Also the Edge 540.

All the models with the blue background in this photo come from AeroFlyPro. You guys that don't have AFPD don't know this, but the ones that do, do know it. The Giles is no in this picture, but I have it loaded on my computer. You can see it's the same thing. IPACS did not give permission to Rick to copy the ShockFlyer or the Giles. They also trusted him with the 3DMax plugin for AFPD, but now are regretting it, just like Knife Edge regrets working with him.

You guys can all think he's this great guy and maybe he is. But he's doing what he wants to do without respect for others work.

It looks like Alma was asking what you think about AFPD making an importer for G3.??? To maybe import their planes? I guess then they'd definitely fly bad to you because you said they're "floaty"?? And you won't like them. Just a guess on my part.

Edit: Okay.. actually, he said what if AFPD did the same trick and made an importer for G3 models. G3 has NO importer for AFPD models. You have to create it for G3. But I see where he's going.. back to your old fight against Rick..JEEZ!! Guess it's time for you guys to hijack another thread.

Ok that may be it. Alma, I don't have a problem with it. In fact that's a great idea so, as I think you said, there wouldn't be anymore of these stupid simulator wars.(especially over Rick mower and Giles) If they are floaty, I won't have to fly them and if there was an importer for G3 planes into AFPD, maybe you AFPD guys would like the G3 planes. Time will tell. I don't think that would happen, but one can only hope.

Okay. I will give you the benifit of the doubt that maybe you have misunderstood what the .426 importer does. If this is the case.. I sincerely appologize for my posts. I will delete my last post, since it may be way off base.

Here's the deal; My interpretation of your 1st post was - What do you G3 guys think if AFPD were to make an importer to steal your G3 planes? Of course, this is NOT the case. If you think G3 has this capability, you've have been mislead. The importer only imports a certain type of file created for G3 by a 3D program. It will not import AFPD files. The fight between Rick and Dion is about Rick using AFPD 3 view photos to create his G3 planes.

If this is what you thought, (that G3 could import AFPD files) then I see the reason for your concern. I'm sure you are probably a nice guy, and normally don't try to start to fights on these forums. Maybe it's just a lanquage barrier thing? Sorry.

I havent flown that many planes on the new update to have an opinion as to how they fly like the real thing. Most of my planes are warbirds and so I will have to wait until some of those great guys out there put them out (HINT HINT). My realworld fleet is as follows....feel free to make (copyright laws admitting of course) planes for G3 of any of them.

also, I have the katana dounloaded and I have extracted the file but what folder do you put it in so you can play it on the game.

I put it in the file called G3X but it still doesnt appear in the game.

What are you supposed to do, where does it appear in the game and where do you put it, I have to know.

You put them in the G3X folder. Then start G3, go to import - G3X file - and point to the file location. You should then see message saying the file was imported. Then select the plane in custom folder. The 1st time it will take a little time to load because it has to build the collision matrix.

under simulation it says import image but nothing else, it aint under plaines, help me I am dying to fly this katana. Where can I get the giles.

Banche, I have found that it is easier to save to desktop and import from desktop. Hope this helps somebody.

Sure does make it easier to put the planes in the folders with the new setup
i have a bunch from 410 that for the life of me cant figure how to get them into the sim
you know the whole click-drag-drop method.
