Default E-Spaceship One for AFPD

This model is based on Spaceship One. The idea of the foamy model was conceived by Pat Libby (with influence from a buddy of his), based on Dan Kriegh's flying model. Dan Kreigh is an engineer for Scaled Composties (Burt Rutan) and he's the owner and designer of the IFO.

Dan's E-Power version which can be seen here: http://www.wildrc.com/htmlpages/spaceshipone.html

The foamy for AFPD has "feather" effect just like the real one. The feather is assigned to the flaps, but try to get it on a proportional switch if you have it on your radio for more control.

The feather effect was conceived by Burt Rutan while he was dreaming ... so he says. This gives Spaceship One the ability to fall back to earth under full control like a shuttlecock. With the foamy it gives it the ability to land like a helicopter. Watch the video of Dan's version above.

ENJOY and THANKS PAT!

One thing that is amazing about this plane. If you are stalled or inverted or whatever .... as soon as you flip the "feather" the plane will start falling exactly how it supposed too. It will turn over on the right side and begin it's journey. This is why Burt Rutan conceived this, just in case there is a blackout by the pilot or directional control loss, the plane will fix itself.

This just goes to show how well this physics engine responds to real world situations. This is a really amazing foamy. You guys are going to love this one.

Here is a video. I don't have a proportional channel on my sim radio right now. But you can adjust the feather for less angle of attack or to use for flips.

Thanks again Pat!
