Well I finally heard back from Great Planes after emailing them again twice.
For anyone who cannot download the update via the control panel, here is the link to download the update manually and install it without using the control panel. Directly from my email from GP. Did not mention anywhere that it should not be reposted so I tihnk it's safe to put here, and will help a lot of folks judging on the amount of posts regarding this subject.
Sorry, I removed the link, I just got an email from GP saying to NOT share the link. Not sure why. It's only an update. ??????
