Reflex XTR graphics problem
#1
When I fly across the field, it looks like the display freezes and then continues, sort of like hiccups. It takes less than half a second, and then everything is fine again. This happens in the same spot every time, almost as if there was a line that the plane crossed that triggered it. I have the same problem regardless of resolution; from 640x480x16 to 1600x1200x32. Frame rate is smooth.
Any ideas what can cause this problem?

Try turning the v-sinc on and then try it with it off. see if either make a differece. I've seen the problem before and then seen it go away. not sure what the solution is.

Hi Chris,
Thank you for your answer. I tried V-sync both on and off, and it definitely has to be off for Reflex to work properly. Frame rate goes down a lot if i enable it.
I think I have found the problem though. The BIOS graphics aperture size was set to 128 MB. Reducing it to 64 MB solved the "hiccup problem".

Are you using a flat panel LCD monitor? This banding effect is very noticable on LCD's and I have to turn on V-Sync on every single game that I play. What V-Sync does is limit your maximum frame rate to the refresh rate of the monitor. The banding comes from some monitors having trouble displaying these 150+ FPS.
