Which Sim for Me?
Well I am thinking about getting a new sim and was wonderingwhich one to buy. Well I already have Aerofly Proand I know I can purchase the upgrade for 90.00$ but I don't won't to wait 2 or 3 weeks without a sim. One thing I dislike about Aerofly is that the planes seem to 3D too easy. I think I would like the online feature of the G3. So it's Aerofly Pro Deluxe 90.00$, G3 199.00$, Reflex XTR 199.00$(i think).
So what do you think.
EDIT: I would like to be able to use it with my Dell Inspiron 1000 laptop but if this computer isn't good enough I can use a faster computer.

In G3, the planes fly very well. It takes some effort to 3D and I can't even begin to tell you how much I've learned.(this is probably true as far as hand eye cordination with other sims) In G3, you learn how to correct mistakes and if something arises, you will be able to get out without crashing your (real)plane. Right now at Tower, you can save $20 if you bought G3.(or anything else over $125) I can't comment about any other sim as I don't have enough experience with them.

I have flown all three... quite a bit...
for me AFPD is much better for physics... increase the sim speed...and add some wind and AFPD is as close to real as possible...
Reflex is a scosh better for Heli's, but AFPD is much better for airplanes.....
G3 has a nice multiuser setup...but the planes (at least in my opinion) flew so poorly that I removed it within a few days........

Well seeing I'm not longer with OMP my opinions are no longer biased!!!
AeroFlyPro Deluxe smokes them all when it comes to real world physics. Just turn a little weather on and watch what happens. The upgrade is well worth the money with improved physics and many other features. Just the foamy upgrade is well worth it. Also turnaround time can be 5 to 7 days max if you send priority mail to OMP which costs you about 2 bucks.
In regards to your laptop it all depends on what video card you have.

G3 is light-years ahead of AFPD with flight physics. I've owned both sims, and I kept G3. It models inertial and gyroscopic effects much better. It is harder to fly than AFPD (AFPD is too easy), and WILL make you a better pilot. The new G3 update makes it less intimidating for new RC or RC sim pilots.
So, it really depends whomever answers your query, as to what is "best". It's different things, to different people. Get whatever appeals to YOU!

Light years? I don't think so. Every poll ever run always put AFPD on top.

Run the poll on Giants site and I'll guarantee you'll get the same results.
Why do you think Rick ran that poll specifically on the Cirkus site, because he knows that Cirkus flyers are more advanced pilots and they are. Read their threads, go to their events. They fly larger planes and invest larger dollars. They know what they are talking about over on those sites as a whole.
G3 outsells AFPD by HUGE amounts in the USA and still the Cirkus vote went towards AFPD and there is a reason. When you become a better pilot, you can see the differences between G3 and AFPD. Both have their good points, but like every poll has ever shown, AFPD physics are much more accurate and a far cry from light years behind G3.

I have afpd and played g3... man I have to say I love the crashes and multiplayer on g3, but afpd absoutly kills g3 at airplane physics even the hellis are much better in afpd. Also, both of the sims have good graphics.... although sometimes in afpd if you have aircraft reflections they could be a little too bright sometimes, but they look cool. This is just my own thoughts. Now I can do tail slides, harriers, harrier rolls, hover 10 feet off the ground, etc... with my extremeflight rc edge 540T. I learned everything on my own. If you want a true simulator get a good aerobatic rc airplane and practice manuvers at a high altitude...(Note: I mean a real rc aircraft lol)

Polls, Schmolls. The best "poll" is the one that the prospective buyer makes after trying all sims and arriving at his own personal decision, which is best.

Hard to argue with that, at 8 years old.
Point being, nobody needs to "follow Lemmings over a cliff" just because it seems popular.

Don't get me wrong I love RC to death, but to me it's just like a glorified video game without a restart button. Heck the controller looks just like my PS2 controller. But FF is an art in it's own and take MUCH GREATER skill to fly then RC does.

I have heard really good things about all the sims, if you only need to upgrade to Deluxe for 90.00 that might be your best bet. I use G3 because I like the multiplayer feature. Alot of clubs get together in the winter to do thier sunday flying on thier sims when it is to cold for the field.

Where would be the best place to buy the upgrade for AFP to AFPD IPACS or OMP? Also what all is included in the new upgrade for AFPD that cost 30.00.

Well you can do it at Ikarus or Aeroflypro.com are the only 2 I know of. I think aeroflypro.com is cheaper, but the price is more like 80, not 30.
