New to G3: download plane/color scheme help
I've had G3 for a couple of weeks. I am starting to understand it pretty good, however, I saw where Rick Delten had a plane you could download. How do I get this in G3? I saved it to my computer and can unzip it but where does it go to get into G3? Also, how can I do the same thing with color schemes. Please explain in simple step by step terms.
thanks,
mike

I guess the first thing would be is do you have the .426 or .430 update? If so, then you nees to go and import the plane.(simulation, import, G3X) For the colorschemes, you need to go into your computer to the colorscheme folder.(for windowsXP: My computer, driveC(usually), program files, RealflightG3, colorschemes)

If the .zip you downloaded includes a file with the ".enc" extension, then it is really a g3x file that your browser thought should be a .zip. You must rename the .zip file to have a .g3x extension, then you can import the file through the G3 Import menu as described above.
