Problem editing aircraft in AFPD
Hi, AFPD newbie question,
It seems you can only edit certain parameters of a model, is it not possible to scale down a 3M. Extra 300 to let's say a .60 size bird. Specifically, I'd like to create a 90 2 stroke powered Goldberg Extra, since that's what I'm currently building.
Thanks,
Pete

Hi,
yes, your observation is right. The editor was never intented to 'model' a plane. That is allways done with external tools.
The editor allows you only to adjust most physics parameters and some very basic geometry related things such as the wingspan within some pre-defined limits.
Cheers,

Pete,
you may scale down a model with an external scale program.
It does not work for the AFPD TGO file format, but for the elder AFP OBJ file format.
So check to download an Extra for AFP to get that format.
Find a workshop for scaling here:

Hi Rodeo,
Thank you for the link, very helpful, I will give it a go. Also is windspeed always given in M/S, I can convert kmh to mph in mein kopf, but meters per second, ach du lieber[X(], it seems that screen doesn't change when you switch to english measure. Just curious also as to the use of the english foot for altitude in aviation, somewhere I got the impression that all comercial and general aviation aircraft now use feet for altitude, rather than meters, even in Euroland.
Regards,
Pete
