Default Broken wire on RealFlt parallel interface...

I was going nuts re-installing G2 on my new computer. The program loads fine, good sound and video, BUT no radio detected!!

After much wiggling of wires, I found the wire that connects the parallel adapter to the xmitter was completely broken off inside the adapter.

Now, my problem. Inside the adapter is a circuit board, and I can see where the wires are supposed to be soldered. One is labeled "J1" and the other is "J2".

I suspect they are polarity sensitive.

One of the wires going to the xmitter has a dashed, white stripe on it. Does that go to J1 or J2??

Help!!

Doug

I went poking around on the Knife Edge web site, and think I've answered my own question.

This is from Highflyer:

place the soldier side up.
place the board with the two connections toward the top.

On my parrell interface, the striped wire is on the right. And they are connected to the soldier pads in the middle of the top edge of the board.

Be careful and you didn't hear this here...
Thanks Highflyer!!

Doug
