Default Reflex XTR and the Futaba 9CAP

Hello,
Anyone using the Futaba 9CAP with Reflex XTR?
I can't get mine to work with it!
I have the dongle and the 6 pin connector.
I have it in PPM mode too!
Any ideas?
thanks
Grease

I have used my Futaba 7CHP and works ok.

As you said it must be in PPM mode, you can set up a new model in memory called reflex to ensure it is in ppm mode. Also read you must select ppm mode then switch off tx and turn on again to get it to start in ppm mode. if the airplne memory you are using is pcm, just changing to ppm without restarting the tx it wont work in ppm mode (i believe, check your manual)

Also I have had problems with the plugs, so unplugging and repluging all plugs has fixed this.

I now just use a cheap 4 ch tx that came with an electric heli.

If it still wont work, try another tx if you can to see if it is the cord.

One last thing, after messing with settings sometimes the sim will not start just by turning the tx on, you must go to simulation - start simulation

cheers

Thanks for the help!
I will give it all a try.

Yes, I dug up one of my other transmitters.
Which I am pretty sure will work!

thanks again!

Works like a charm.

When I installed the program, it
did'nt install the driver.

I had to manually install the driver.
reflex.ini

works great!

GREAT simulator, much better then G2.
Never owned G3.

Hated to keep paying for upgrades!

Mine runs fine, but when I first got reflex I got the plug to fit an FF7 (spare radio) and it would not work well at all. On the reflex site it says something about the impedance in the module being incorrect for FF7 radios. There are details on there of how to modify the module to fix this, but I did not want to take a soldering iron to the module when there was an easier way to fix it. Apparently newer modules don't have this issue.

I'm using the same square plug cable that I got from Aerofly. It works for me without any problem.
I assume that you plug in the XTR dongle and connect the square plug adapter from the dongle to your Tx
That's how I setup mine
