Default G3 editing features

Hi all

I am looking at getting a simulator and g3 seems to have the best editing features. what exactly can it do? can you change the colour scheme, look as in the visual size, the shape and the parameters? Dose anyone know a simulator that is better for editing then G3?
And can you start a model from scratch?

Thanks for any help

u can many things like change the planes size, color scheme, speed, maneuverability, and many other things. u have to have computer model making software to make new planes. u can import new planes too.

The G3 editor is the best you can get when it comes to editing aircraft flight characteristics. It doesn't change the visual appearance of the model though as that would require a new scheme for the completely new aircraft. You have to build aircraft like in a 3D CAD program. There isn't a better sim for editing IMO, however they all claim to not need any editing. The G3 is far more indepth than any other sim though.

ORIGINAL: G-Man501

How do you make a color scheme? I have already looked in the on-screen manul and its all confusing to me! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Colorscheme:

Upgrade G3 to at least .430.

Load the plane you want to make the colorscheme for.

"Save" the existing colorscheme under a new name (e.g. MyScheme)

Exit G3

Navigate to C:\Program Files\RealflightG3\Colorscheme and look for the new file called

C:\Program Files\RealflightG3\Colorscheme\MyScheme.tga

Edit this file with Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, or The Gimp.

DO NOT change the dimensions, bit depth or aspect of the image.

Make any and all changes you wish.

SAVE the file, overwriting the old one.

Done!

Go into G3 and load your new scheme.

You need 3D Studio for this.
