I have the usb new version of the g2 and the controller looks like it has a battery compartment but i cant get it open is this the case? also it will not let me install the controller and would not accept the transmitter interface serial number? do i even need to enter that number isnt that for the upgrade? who knows please help asap im dying to fly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You do NOT need to open up the controller.

Update to the latest video and sound drivers for your system.
Turn off virus protection (and any other app running in the background)
plug in your controller
Install and follow the directions. It will ask for both the CD ROM serial # and the controller serial #.
