Default G2 unable to do a flat spin

The IMAC basic "known" competition sequence for this year, 2003, includes a two turn spin. This is the sequence that most of us will be trying to perform. I am certain that a great many flyers will want to practice, and hone their skills on this new sequence...however, G2 does not seem to allow a true spin. One may achieve a spiral roll downward, but my best attempts have failed to produce a true spin, flat or otherwise, with any of the planes built into the new full version of g2. Has anyone been able to do a true spin? Please share your magic with the rest of us.
Thanks, and happy new year.

Default G2 unable to do a flat spin

I have been able to do normal spins with the Pitts, Extra 330S and Edge 540 that come with Add-ons vol. 4, but those are the only airplanes I have come across so far. Not any flat spins though. Just normal ones.

The Pitts seems to be the easier to spin of the above. No magic needed. You just enter it as any normal spin.

The others seem a little more sensitive to how you treat them at the entry. The Edge 540 in particular does not seem to like too much rudder (as in full rudder) just before it is about to stall. Instead of entering a spin, it then enters some sort of turning side slip. I have not experimented very much with it, but it seems to enter spins more consistently if you go easy on the rudder at the last moment.

Default G2 unable to do a flat spin

I have found that all of the stock planes are nose heavy and need more throw to fly like I like them to. I have had the Hide Ultimate from www.aero3D.net in any number of spins, including a climbing knife edge one, but dont ask me how I did that one, haha...

Later,
David

Default FLAT SPIN

If you are too nose heavy you will never achive a good flat spin. rebalance and wind her up and it will work, almost every plane I have will do an inverted flat spin. One of my big bipes will spin within its own wingspan. Its someting to watch. Sometimes it can be hell getting out of it, but its still alive and well.
