Default RFG3 scale changing problem

Hi

I have had G3 for 4 days now and i started modifying the mustang to suit my needs, I started going the long way about changing the scale of the plane to double the size by changing the demensions manually. Realising this just made the wire frame big, I deleted the plane and started again, realising that I can actually change the scale and everything is done automatically.

So i have a few questions for it, but first the wire frame scale is 260 and so is the image its self, I have added the engine 3w120b2 with pipe and man. at 580-600 mm, with a torque modification of 240, with a prop size of 96, with 4 blades that is a master airscrew classic. Now firstly this set up makes the plane fly quiet nice, but only for like 5 seconds. When the airspeed reaches 100 kph(im aussie), the wings and tailplane rip off, now it doesnt seem to me as tho its going to fast, its not even half of what some of the planes reach. So first question, is there a way to fix this, is there something I did wrong? can the program allow it to be enlarged, i thought it would since it had it. Is there something to make the plane stronger?

Secondly, if there is, Is there a more powerfull engine or way to set up such a big plane?

thanks for the help

Hi Exile,

You can make the wings etc. stronger. Each object has a "strength multiplier" try increasing this number.

more info ... http://www.knifeedge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13525

With regards to engines I've not tried it but I think you can create you own engines. You make a copy of an existing one and then modify it.

Regards,

Tony

kool thanks, and ive noticed another problem, and that is that my engine power i use moves the plane, once in the air but only barely pulls a loop, so i up the power and now if i full power b4 takeoff the plane launches straight up like without rolling on the ground first, can i make the plane CG heaver at all or make the planes frame heavier.

Im having another problem with these big planes, and that is when i land, i land it as softly as possible and yet the engines are shutting off, is it because they are weak too, coz i cant seem to find a strength thing
