Default Realflight Interlink Controller

Afternoon people, I have a rather tricky question to ask, and even trickier to explain;

I recently purchased the G3 Simulator whcih came with the Interlink Controller. Now, it may be because I bought this product from the US or me being stupid, but the Controller seems to be the opposite way around!

The left hand side of any controller I've used in the past is what I normally use for throttle and yaw, is this correct? Secondly, should the throttle part (up and down) on the left hand side of the Controller be, how do I explain this, always return to the centre position or be on a sort of rachet, so where you move it it stays? The problem with the interlink controller, the rachet side is on the right hand part, not the left. This is exactly opposite to what I'm used to. Is this normal or is there any way to swap them around?

I do apologise if I have explained this badly, I really don't know what other way to say it.

If anyone could please help, that would be great.

Thanks in advance

Richard

I'd say you've got a mode 1 Interlink controller...

G3 is available in either mode 1 or mode 2. Mode 2 which has the throttle ratchet on the left side is most commonly used in the USA, with mode 1 most commonly used where you are located. It might have been an error on your part when ordering it, or whoever took your order assumed you'd want mode 1 because of where you live.

Not sure what you'll do now as opened software is not returnable. Try contacting your retailer as well as Knife Edge about the problem and a possible swap is all I can suggest.

Thanks Zeeb.

I managed to contact RealFlight and they gave me instructions, albeit complicated, to change from Mode 1 to Mode 2 which involved opening the back of the controller and changing the rachet around. I was pleasantly surprised when I actually got this to work! Thanks for your reply mate, much appreciated.

It is interesting that you use mode 2 in spain.
I was under the impression that most of europe used mode 1 and mode 2 was a USA thing
