When i finished downloading FMS and tried to open the program i got an error message saying: "A required .DLL file COLDET.DLL,was not found" what does this mean and what do i need to do to get FMS running

Have you got the latest DirectX from Microsoft on your machine? I dunno but there's a strong chance that this is the problem.
