Well My G2 just asked me to insert the CD. I cannot find it. I have G2 deluxe with upgrades 1,2, 3 and 4.

Does anyone know of a workaround. I am the registered user, just can't find CD. I think I took it out when 4 arrived.

Mine asks me for the cd everytime I run it...

That's the first time mine asked for it since October. It used to ask for the add ons every once in a while. It hasnt asked for a while for those either.

My system hasn't asked for any of the disks since I installed the Add-ons Volume 4. It will let me run RealFlight without any od the disks in the CD drive. Before, I had to insert the G2 main disc in the CD drive.

One thing though...... I still can fly any of the jets. My computer crashes when I try to load one. I have to restart the computer, then all is fine, until I try to fly a jet.

Go figure.......

It had been a while since I loaded 4. Now it wants the main CD. I hope I can find it.

Mine asks for one of the CD's in random order every now and then. I run all 4 add-on's, and since the beginning it has always asked me for a disk about ever 3-4 weeks.

then you havent gotten any upgrades in a while,
g2 has not asked for my cd since i installed it and got latest upgrade.
I also have all addons 1 2 3 & 4

Ditto here. I upgrade every chance I get and it still asks for the cd's in random order every so often. It may just be my system but I notice that if I make a change like adding a hard drive and changing the drive letter then the nest time I start up G2 it starts asking for disks. I think the problem is these guys used different software protection from different companies and they are fighting one another. If they were smart they would write a patch and kill all of it and end this misery once and for all.

I'm all for protecting intellectual property, but these guys have a niche product the the average pimply faced pirate isn't gonna want to steal. Take the protection off altogether or find one that's less intrusive. Everytime this happens I have to pull out my cd cabinet and start searching for the disk I need. If Knifeedge wants to stay on top of the hill listen to your customers, and get the hell away from Great Planes.
