Im not very good with computers and i was wondering if anybody could explain to me how to get hooked up to fly with others

My brother and I did it via an ethernet cable between two computers. Then one of us would HOST and the other would JOIN that hosted game. It worked flawlessly. Don't know how much help I was, but that was my take on it. Not too hard.
