I finally broke down and bought G-2 USB, but soon realized that my computer just didnt have what it takes under the hood to make G-2 perform the way I wanted. After Much research, this is what I have decided on:

Computer
P-4, 2.4 mhz processor, 533 FSB
512 or 256min DDR Ram

Video
I spent long hours researching graphic cards, My current computer has always struggled w/ graphics because i would settle for O.K. cards. And I'm sick of slow fuzzy graphics, so I decided to cut loose and go for it all with the ATI Radeon 9700 Pro - Circuit City had them for 339.00 w/ $50 mail in rebate. According to the latest Info I Found, this seems to be the best card out there... for now .
I have a fairly new 17" philips magnavox moniter I plan on keeping.

All I have left now is to have the computer built. I will report on how my system works later on this month.

These are just my opinions and I hope this will be of help to anyone out there looking for a system for G-2. I am also open to alternative suggestions.(exept for the Video card, I already bought it )

I hope you are going to have more than just G2 to run on that computer. I have a 1.6 ghz athlon, 256 meg ddr, and a 64 meg g-force 2 that I run it with and it runs outstanding. That is an awful lot of money for a video card. Please tell me that is a 128 meg card. What I am trying to say is that it doesn't take near the computer that you are thinking about to run this program with no problems. You could save a lot of money in the way of the video card and the processor that you could use for good hobbies like rc planes and helis. Well anyway if you go with what you're thinking you should be happy.

lol you can get a 128 mb grafics for cheaper than that.
Now when it comes to computers im with it. Why didnt you build the computer yourself i bet you payed 2000 $ for that rig . Could have got the same thing for less than 1000

Should have bought something smaller. Could have saved yourself boatloads on the CPU and video card by getting something 200 dollars cheaper. PC's are so fast nowdays it's rediculous. No user that doesn't know how to run sophisticated benchmarks can tell the difference between a 2.4gig processor and a 2.0gig one. And unfortunatly, the video card can probably outperform the monitor by a huge factor. State of the art yes. But if you just want it for G2, you wasted money. A 1 gig chip and a 45 dollar AGP geforce will give G2 more power than it know what do do with. Although you'll get framerates exceeding 100FPS at extremely high resolution

wow wounder what i get 2.4 gigs, 1 gig ram ,128 mb ge force 4 grafics, 80 gig HD

I am building the computer, w/out the card I'll have $900. in the system. I also fly cfsm2. I also have plenty of RC planes to fly and a heli.. but with 2 kids in diapers you just cant make it to the flying field as much.
