Default G3.5 or fs one

I have g2 and upgraded it to g3.5 with the free download. I am familiar with it and have enjoyed it. My question is the following. Is the new fs one simulator better and more realistic than mine or would it be just a wate of money to buy it. Thanks for the replies. Louis

I'd stick with G3.5. There is nothing significantly better about FSOne to justify the cost of the purchase. The new update for G3.5 that is currently in final beta testing will fix a lot of the physics problems and bugs that were in g3.5. The airplanes handle well but the helicopter physics is way off in FSOne IMHO. G3.5 definitally seems to be the more mature and better of the 2. If you are looking at another one I'd highly recommend checking out Phoenix. It has a few things that RealFlight doesn't (like float flying) and the physics are very good.

Stick with G3.5. You will disappointed with FSOne.

I went with the G3.5 after reviewing G3 and FS1. FS1 recommends a 128 mb video tops, G3 recommends 1 gig, big difference! Long story short, I went with the better graphics.

G3.5 requirements:

Windows XP*, 2000*, ME, 98
Intel® Pentium® 1.0 GHz or equivalent
DirectX® 9 (or above) compatible video and sound card
3D accelerated video card with 32 MB (or more) RAM
256 MB RAM
2 GB hard drive space

FS One requirements:

Processor: 2.8 GHz Intel Pentium IV or better or AMD Athlon XP3000 or better
Memory: 1 GB RAM
Hard Disk Drive Space Available: 4 GB
Video/Graphics: NVIDIA or ATI graphics card with at least 128 MB VRAM
NVIDIA: GeForce 6000-series or 7000-series (6600 or better)
ATI: Radeon X-series (X600 or better)

Yes, better graphics by your logic than it would be FS ONE.

I'm going to get G3.5 when I can find a good price on it. I like the Hanger 9 and E-flite planes on FS One, though. []

Not a valid comparison to take the MINIMUM specs for one simulator and compare it to the RECOMMENDED specs for another. I almost wonder if there's some sort of bias here....

Ok, here is the G3.5 recommend specs:

Intel Pentium 3.0 GHz or equivalent
3D accelerated video card with 128 MB (or more) RAM
1GB RAM

I see no difference between requirements that can say one is better than the other.

Manny, if you don't believe in comparsions, you will be taken advantage of in real life. Example, if you go to a car dealer, are you telling me you not gonna ask him the differences in power, gas milage, price, service, parts, etc... You won't see me race John Force in a go-cart, that's for sure. I'm not a hater, I'm an appreciator!!

OK...........

This discussion has sunk below opinions of the products and become opinions of other poster's arguments.

Discuss the topic, not what you think of other poster's or their arguments. I've edited out some of that, and locked the thread.

You can explain the fallacy in an argument without including your opinion of the other guy.
