Well, I am kind of bummed...I was flying my sim and all of a sudden I had no spring tension on the elevator stick. [X(] I got my sim at the beginning of January and have love it so far. Just put it in the mail to go in for repair. I hope the turn around is quick. Has anyone else had any problems like this or am I just an isolated incident? I hope mine was just a fluke as I love this sim!

I bought my realflight sim a bout 15 months ago. I hadn't had it a week and my son knocked it off the computer desk.It didn't have any tension on the elevator after that. I took it apart and the encoder was also broken apart. I glued the encoder back and put the spring back on and it worked for about an hour. I sent it off and got a new one 2 weeks and fifty dollars later.I haven't had any more problems since. You have to pretty gentle with them.

Well I just got off the phone with customer support. They are going to warranty the transmitter however they are backordered and not expected in until March 31. Looks like I am down for over a month on this baby. I wonder why they are that far back. Are these things breaking alot or what?[

OK,
This controller is absolutely terrible, and they know it! If you would like to see what a persistent problem this is go here:

My controller spring failed after less than a month of use. Product support said this is a KNOWN problem, and send the controller back. I spent $11 sending the controller back. They had it for a week, then sent it back (the slowest way possible). I expect to maybe get another month of flying before the controller breaks again. This is after spending $200 for an RC sim. Ironically I went to the local hobby shop today, and saw that they are now selling the Realflight 3.5 sim. They had a display set up, and I went to fly it. Guess what? The controller on the display had broken springs and wouldn't center. If I knew then what I know now, I never would have bought this sim, but of course I have too much invested.
