Default With These Computer specs..??

First of all let me say that I am NOT a "Computer Head"...And seem to get very lost, quite quickly with all the high tech vocabulary and acronyms...

So,...with that said,.. I was hoping for a few words of wisdom from some of you,"More accomplished" flight sim and computer operators..

I've got a PC running on XP home version 2002,..A Celeron R processor, operating at 2.53 Gigahertz,..1 Gigabyte of RAM,..And a Jaton MX 4000 twin video Video card...@ 64 megabytes...

I'm really not looking for a sim set-up to allow me to do any of that 3D stuff with a heli that seems to be so fashionable these days... I'm most interested in being able, with a lot of practice, to be able to handle most all of the tandem helicopter offerings of whichever manufacturer that you fellas might help me to select...

So,...With the aforementioned specs of my "Puter" would you guys like to give me your thoughts, as to which simulator set-up might be most appropriate, knowing that I'll ultimately be looking for tandem helis to be driving..??

Thanks very much fellas............................................ .....Dave...

PS... I'm not at all sure whether or not that this is an asset or a liability,.. but I do have an older Great Planes Realflight Sim,...It has no helis in the aircraft of choice bin.... I really don't even know whether or not it's even a G2...Any hints to lead me by here..??

Normally id suggest AFDP for you but I don’t think it is a good Helicopter sim at all.

The only other sim that I have tried myself would be G3, it has better Helicopter physics IMO but still not perfect.

If you went with G3 you would probably get good frame rates just by getting a used $50 video card off of ebay.

I bought a Radion 9800Pro off ebay for 60 bucks a long time ago (so there probably cheaper now) and it works pretty well with G3.

Thanks for the words Scriptt,.. It's appreciated..

Well Then,.. I gather that in your opinion the MOST weak link in my set-up is the video card..?? This Radion 9800 that you mentioned is it the latest and the greatest for this particular application..?? If there is ONE thing that I've learned over and over with puters it's that if you don't go the extra mile and spend the extra buck, especially with hardware components,it's a very short time indeed before you are saying to yourself,.."Damn,...I wish I had done this or that" and to correct the situation I,ve historically had to re-buy/spend much more than the smaller difference that existed at first..

So let me ask ..Knowing what you know of the Radion 9800 and it's capabilities, is there nothing that you'd rather have,if you were in my shoes..??

Tanks..................................Dave...

PS...Oh,..And what does AFDP stand for..??...
