I have been flying for 40 years and have 2 previous simulators,dave brown rcfs5 and csm v10.I bought a used realflight g2 with contoller for use on windows xp as the others do not work on xp due to the type of interface used.I could not update to the latest version thu the control panel and had trouble loading the sim.well after some searching I found the link to the last update available and it solved my problem.anyway the game loads and the graphics are better than the other two sims but csm v10 flies the planes in more realistic fashion.I had wind turned on in g2 and after landing into the wind the plane actually backed up when it was on the ground and stopped.never had that happen in real life even in 30 mph winds.anyway for all those buying used g2's and needing the latest update here is the link.
