Default a few q's about sims

first off the computer i have
dual core gateway 2.8ghz each
1gb ram
plenty on the HD
upgraded video card to Nvidia 7300gt 256mb

think this is good enough for the best sims?

i'm looking at the FSone but hate spending so much, just saw the post about the Phoenix and it didn't look bad at all. I'd like a mixture of planes and heli's and eventually get to some 3d action on both, but i'm new for now. I've got a blade cx2 heli that is pissing me off so instead of buying a better heli thought a sim would be better for awhile.

I've got the transmitter that came with the cx2 and was wanting to use that for the sim if possible but not sure how compatible it is with them. any advice would be appreciated.

again comment on the phoenix if you know anything about it, i think it's cheaper than the FS1 right?
