Decided to start this thread after a problem with a specific Vid Card.
1st: System OS 98 SE 1 Gb Athlon, 256 Mb ****m, 100Gb HD, Video Diamond Ultra Viper770 this was a TNT/TNT2 board. No Problems
2nd: System OS XP 1.8Gb Athlon XP, 256 Mb DDR, 100Gb HD, Video ATI Radeon 8500 64mb DDR. The Radeon will not render, you'll get a White Screen and a few black outlines of texture.
3rd: System 2.0Gb XP, OS XP, 512Gb DDR, 100 GB HD's Video PNY G4 MX 440 64Mb DDR. Excellent everything no problems.

Hi Jack! Easy fix for the white screen. You simply need to update your copy of G2 to a release .327 or higher.
You should also try the alternate purpose drivers for your video card if the problem persists.

Ann Marie;
My Dear I went through all the updates as well as the RFG2 Update Motherboard Update(Bios) Video Update talked to ATI ref the Problem. No Go! So to make matters better, I changed to the New Geforce 4 MMX 440 Not a single problem. Excellent board. So now I have a Radeon that is going back to the Computer Store. Even talking to Knife Edge they were aware of the problem! I just didn't research before purchasing a $200+ Video card and having to now get credit from the Local Computer store for something that was 11 hrs Old. They just don't take hardware back regardless, unless the box was unopened.
Thanks Ann Marie you continually impress me with your dedication to your company and products.

A few people had success with the R8500 if they disabled fog.
I run a GF3TI200, so cannot say for sure if it works... But it's worth a try instead of returning a perfectly good videocard.

Dell P-III, 866mhz
Windows ME
128 meg ****M
Sound Blaster LIVE!
RIVA TNT2 M64 video card running @ 800x600 16bit color
Ran Realflight Classic fairly well. But when I upgraded to G2, I have to turn off everything just to get a decent frame rate.....especially when hovering up close.
NOTE:
Today a friend let me borrow his spare Geforce3 card.
WOW!!!!!!! What a difference in the frame rate and smoothness of G2!!!
Now I can run with EVERYTHING turned on at 1200x768 32bit color. And the frame rate is still a LOT faster than the TNT2 at 800x600 16 bit color with everything disabled.
The Geforce3 card also vastly improved my Falcon 4.0 and MS Combat Flight Simulator 2.
I can't get over the difference!
I'm definitely either going to buy this Geforce3 card from him, or go buy one of my own.

The Radeon 8500 will work with specific video rendering settings. I got the list from Mary-Ann Cross. (gosh darnit I forgot what the settings are). But even though it will work, it does cause the planes to flicker sometimes. I'm running on the GeForce 3 Ti200 and it's overkill.
