E Sky is just a controller with the free FMS simulator. It may even be an older version. You should run FMS 2 alpha 8.5, the latest.

Just Google up "FMS RC Airplanes" and you'll find a lot.

[link=http://gunnerson.homestead.com/files/fms_models.htm]My website[/link] has a few.

You can follow [link=http://gunnerson.homestead.com/files/FMSlinks.htm]these links[/link] to other model sites.

First have an Unzip utility installed. I use WinZip. You can Google and install the free version.

If you already have an Unzip utility installed then when you click on an FMS .zip model
file to download, choose to Open the file.

Then Extract all the files to the C:\ Program Files\ FMS\ Model directory.

what is an Unzip utility, and do you have to have it?

WinZip is usually in your operating system already.

If you have a downloaded zip file already, right click on it and look at the menu that pops up. There should be an option to "Extract" in the list. It will work the zip folder and produce a "normal folder" for you.

A zip file looks like a folder. It is. It's a file or folder that has been compressed to be smaller and therefore quicker to send and recieve on the internet. You have to un-compress it to use it. And that's called "un-zipping" and "extracting". Utilities like WinZip do that for you.

you don't have to extract the files into FMS. FMS can retrieve the files from anywere as long as it's not zipped.
You can also do the samething with sceneries.
Simply create a new folder and store that folder anywhere you want...desktop, external drive, SD cards...etc

if you right click..on XP..you'll see the extract option.
or you can simply left click to open the zip folder. Then just high light all the files..then drag it into another folder.
Or you can download WINZAR.

I just make a master folder and sub floders. It's easier for me to work on or alter the models.
Use NOTEPAD to open the .PAR files to adjust the model's physis.
You can also swap out the sound file (.wave) to whatever sounds to like.

You can also use Notepad to open the .scn files. Incase you want to reposition the model's starting posistion
or the pilot's posistion. I personally don't like the defualt settings in FMS.

You can simply copy and paste the files of a model..it's the same as extracting it.
or drag and drop.

Just change file path when you select load model or landscape.

Just google fms models..there's links up the wazoo

Good luck.
