Hello,
I've heard alot about making a home made cable for my radio (Futaba 4VF) to connect to my pc and download FMS. Would there be anyone willing to send me detailed instructions and a parts list to do so? I'm not very computer literate, but would love to try. Not too much extra $

Shane,
Check out "Smartpropo". at http://www.sekiriki.jp/smartpropo/
You connect your Tx to the sound card input (line in) of your PC, using a very simple cable ( 6 pin Din plug, a bit of screened cable and a mono mini jack plug, 2.5mm I think).
You download a dll from the web site above which you place in your fms directory.
The dll reads the sound card like recording a wav file, and turns the audio signal into control inputs for FMS.
I got it working with no trouble on W2K with a skysport 6A.
Dont expect much customer support, as its free and beta...
But check the FMS web site forums for more help and advice...
For me it was less hassle than ordering a made up cable, (I had the bits).
Have fun,
Si.
