I can't use my Hitec flash 5 on my computer to fly with fms.
The computer doesn't recognise anything. I use a simple serial port interface and win98.
I followed the instructions on :
http://www.helihobby.com/html/fms_manual.html
Nothing, I tried with the cristal removed....nothing.
I don't know what is PCM and PPM mode an don't know if my radio is cabable of switching modes. (fms uses only PPM mode)

The page your link points to does not have any instructions for "a simple serial port interface" that I can see. Which instructions are you using ? What exactly is your interface ? Did you build it or buy it ? Where did you get it from or what circuit did you use ?

Sorry but "Serial port" and "Joystick port" are completely different types of interface. Which is it ?
Can't you ask the people you bought it from how it should be installed ?
