I am considering buying a used copy of Real Flight 4 from a friend. Will I have any problems using it since he already registered it?

He will have to unregister it before you can register. He will need to send an email to do that. There is a thread about that somewhere in this forum. A search should find it.


edit........... OK, I did the search and brought the old thread forward so you wouldn't have to search for it. Your friend needs to unregister his copy before you can register it. There might now be that functionality on the RF forums by now. But if there isn't, the email should work.

I'm not sure that's correct. I have friend that wanted to learn RC. He was getting ready to buy a plane but I suggested he borrow my G4 first. I told him to take it home and register it, fly on the sim a bit and be sure that this was something that interested him before he spent a bunch of money. He had no problems using it on his computer without me unregistering first.

Just "using it" on another computer shouldn't be a problem. But, if you plan to download any of the free "Add-Ons" or upgrade to the latest revision (G4.5) you'll need to have a registared copy on your computer to do that.
