I have had Real flight for about 4 months now and I like it alot. I even like it alot better now since today when I upgraded from a Geforce 7300 with 512mb ram to a Geforce 9500 with 1gig ram. It now runs smooth with no skips. and I don't even have to turn my resolution down or disable objects in RFG4.5.

So anyway, I was at my local hobby shop yesterday hanging out while it was raining. I decided to give their G4.5 sim demo a go. I noticed that there are a few planes on theirs that are not on mine. Sorry, I can't remember exactly which planes they were. But one description would be a model of a plane that is more like a rc toy. It is black and is more like a wing than anything. I also noticed that they had a field that I do not have.
Any ideas of why my G4.5 is different than theirs.
Oh, by the way, I have downloaded ad-ons 1 through 5.

You've got the add-ons, but what about the Expansion Packs?

Also, the KnifeEdge website has hundreds of airplanes, and the ones you saw came from one of three places:
1. Expansion Packs,
2. the free add-ons, or
3. the download airplanes (almost all of which are from KE).

Thanks guys, but I think you are missing the point. I am pretty sure the Demo at the store is the rock bottom G4.5, and has planes that I don't. I was wondering of maybe the install went wrong and all the planes did not transfer or something. I will ask them today.

Want to know if your install put all the planes it should have into your 4.5? Look up the list of planes that come with the game. I think Tower's advertisements list the planes and airfields that come with the base and it certainly lists each and every one in each expansion pack. I'm not sure if the add-on lists are there, but they ought to be in the RealFlight webpages somewhere.

The demo could also have the add-ons loaded too. Those are not free, and since they are trying to sell the sim and add-ons it would make since that they would load it up.

Thanks for the replies, I have done some more research and found that the stuff they have that I don't have to come in the expansions packs $$.
Does anyone know if the expansion packs are backward and forward compatible.
I am mostly concerned if expansion pack 3 for G3 would be compatible for G4.
