Hi Folks

I just down loaded the FMS program. It is great. I like that it is freeware and lots of airplanes out there. I am using R/C trainer interface with no problems. I would like to learn how to make scenes and airplanes can some one help with that.

I cant help you with that but maybe you could help me...

What links/sites did you goto to actually download the free software onto your PC? Also, where did you get the cable that lets you hook up your radio to the Computer? Whats it called?

Teenage RC'er,

Check out this link to the FMS homepage (http://n.ethz.ch/student/mmoeller/fms/index_e.html). Check under "LINKS" for tools, planes and interface cables.

From time to time you can buy the parallel interface cables on ebay. You might check there if you're not inclined to build your own.

Good Luck

I am using Matt's cable and it works great no problems. If you are using Win 2000, NT, or XP you do need a different interface cable.
I have been running the newest Alpha version with no problems for a month or so. It runs completely full screen without the Windows titles above like “Load” “Model” etc. Just move the mouse to the top and they appear.

You can Build your own for like 5 -10 bucks. After you pay shipping you almost pay 30 bucks with those guys.
Later
Chris

PS it takes about 10 mins of your time to build it too

hello
im matt clement and i want to correct what was mentioned above. by the time you track down the 6pin din connector from an online vendor and pay shipping on the .99cent item, your up to say 6.00 and assuming they dont have a 25.00 minimum order you can see how it adds up quickly. radio shack does NOT have the 6pin din (a few have old old inventory and you might find one or two). my interface for 21.00 includes shipping costs and as mentioned above it works great. http://fms1.mattclement.com
