Default F18 Simulator

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can find an F18 simulator? I have a YA F-18 and want to fly on a simulator first.

I do also have G2..anyone know which plane has the closest flying characteristic of the F-18 Hornet?

Thanks.

David

If you can produce photos of your F18, I can provide a model for the Reflex. I need pics from

top, bottom, left, right, front and rear.

Use a digital camera with high zoom (optical, no digital zoom) from 10-15 m away. Avoid sunny days.

I can send you a photo manual if you wish.

Cheers - wolfgang

What do you mean? I thought G2 has jet and ducted fan.

Yes it has them. But they are not correct. They do not fly like a ducted fan. It does not simulate stall characteristics at all. Its pretty worthless for DF training. I was very dissappointed in G2 after seeing its many limitations. I`m sure the author of the sim would say "what cha want fer $200 bucks., a quarter million dollar simulator?".
Ya that would be nice!

I don't dare to mention it here without calling for Hammer14, but there are very specific DF and turbine solutions in the Reflex. (forgive me, Hammer14)

wsn - I've downloaded the demo....can I use the keyboard ? Can't find it in the Help anywhere.

I did find a reply on a thread that said the demo could not be controlled with the mouse or keyboard. Guess I can watch the recorded flights though.

It is somewhere on the download page: You can play the demo flights, you can access every menu item you can load and watch every model and here you can use the arrow keys to go to and scroll around the models, but there is no way you can fly and controll the models, not by keyboard, mouse or joystick. You can even download other models from the homepage and other demo flights. Use the ff and rw keys to run the demo flight faster or in slow motion until picture by picture.

We use the Demo to let the user install the program once in order to varify his PC system. If the demo installs and runs, the full version installs and runs as well.

Thanks Wolfgang. Understand the sound reasoning for doing it that way. Flying with the keyboard wouldn't achieve a lot anyway I suppose.
