I fly mainly gas planes but am seriously considering trying out helicopters. In the adjustable parameters can i asjust then to simulate say the Century Hawk Sport, or maybe one of my planes. Basically my question is straight forward, Is it worth the 200 dollars for the G2 software.
Thanks

Without ending in another argument with Hammer 14, I would suggest you have an eye on the Reflex as well. Here you have a chance to generate your own models from pictures only. A 3D torque and a heli trainer is included as well.
No matter WHAT product you will finally get: 200 for a good sims safes AT LEAST 1200 in crashes. Basically, it's a kind of amortisation calculation. Anybody, who is not a "born talent" (so we are t6alking about 99.9% of us ...) will gain routine and understanding during his hours on the sim.
Please ignore my remarks on the particular product, go for ANY good sim and you will safe money but gain experience.

I agree with Wolfgang. Reflex is a very good simulator, if you compare it to other simulators that are five years old or older. Don't get me wrong, Reflex has a couple of nice features, decent physics, and let's you use you're own transmitter, but so do all the other sims out there. Take a look at what $200 will buy you before you jump into a sim, it's a large chuck of change. RealFlight G2 is a good choice if that is what you are looking at. It also has the same features for the same price, but you also can use the Interlink if you don't want to put wear and tear on your transmitter (I've had this come in useful). Plus, it has tons of additional features and options you don't get with Reflex.
Has anyone else flown these two sims and have an opinion? (Other then Wolfgang who is just using this forum for free advertisement for his product)

I HAVE!
Wolfgang, you're no fun anymore!!!
I guess I'll give the topic (and you) a rest now.

flyingjake, I got pretty close to the Hawk Sport in G2 using the Dolphin 3D and some tweaking. Need to take time to measure things properly on my "real" Sport and transfer these to the modified Dolphin (my first measurements where done in a hurry).

I won't eat the five years. 10 years ago we already had the accurate gound handling behaviour at a time the G2 wasn't even there. And you shurely won't compare the "HighDefinition Photo model mode" with something that was there 5 years ago - you don't even find this with our today's competitors.
Do yourselve a favour: Download the actual DEMO (something we are pretty lonely with ...) and have an oppinion update.
If you look for other oppinions, please use the SEARCH function with the keyword REFLEX. That advertising agrument hits! I have to reconsider my postings here to be less advertising and more supporting. Sorry for that. I already edited my posting above.

Oh lord ... what did I do to deserve HIM again?
If somebody get's the impression I am paying him for these posts: NO, I don't do that. Hammer14 is just a shadow I can't get rid of.
OK, Hammer, take the lead and blow the G2 whistle. Everybody listens.
