Default is a g2 interlink compatible with g4

I have the interlink controller that I use with my g2 program and would like to know if it would work with a g4 or g4.5 program. i saw a g4 on ebay last night but it said my older controller wouldnt work. Just wondering if this was correct.
thanks
Jeff

thanks for the reply. i just got thinking but i downloaded the trial g4 version onto my laptop and had been flying with my old g2 controller last winter. Is this just because it is a trial version?

I thought the demo is only supposed to work with a keyboard. You are lucky to get working.
