I just finished filling out the order form about 10 mins ago from OMP!!! I already have most of the aircraft that I want downloaded and waiting to be unzipped, i couldn't wait :D. Now as long as it doesn't get held up at the US-Can border i'm all set!!

i ordered mine last night, 6/21/04. I too have downloaded the models i want (and scenary too!!). UPS says friday so that is most likely when i'll recieve mine!! (their date was correct when i ordered my h9 twist). all i have currently is fms and that is so unrealistic its hillarious, but im using a joystick because i didnt want to spend $49.99 for a usb cable for my tx. I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!!(if you can call it pain....or anticipation i guess)

I too only have FMS and yes you can call it Pain and Anticipation!!! I cannot wait for it to get here, i haven't downloaded the scenery yet maybe i'll do that tomarrow night.....keep me occupied for another night until this gets here...i dunno what i'll do for the rest of the nights lol.

where are you getting the models from? i got mine from the forum on www.areoflypro.com and from www.rc-sim.de

I did the same got them from RCsim and off of the forum. I might do a seach and see if I can find some others but i have a feeling that RC-Sim probably has most of them already...

Ouch sorry to hear that and your right it is like taking candy from a baby...... I have no idea when mine is supposed to be here but i'll be happy if it takes a week. I'm not sure how long it will take to get accross the border?? Hopefully not to long!!

who is sending the package? did you recieve an e-mail with your tracking #? you should be able to track the package via the shipper's web site. mine is comming via UPS.

RCFlyer if you bought it from us it should take about a week and comes USPS to Canda.

After much anticipation, I got mine on Monday.............. only to find out that my stock video card won't cut it! I've ordered another video card from TigerDirect & now have to wait for delivery of that! [:@]

This is worse than taking candy from a baby! It's giving candy to a baby & then saying "now don't eat it until later"!

No, I haven't. Jared on the other board said that mine only had 8mb and I see that the minimum requirements are 16mb. He didn't sound too optimistic that I would have positive results.

the shipping date is supposedly monday, but the package is still in IL and im in CA. UPS i know doesnt ship on weekends......but would they take it here that fast?? (maybe by plane??)

Yes AFP comes with all kinds of planes, helis, gliders in the box. Plus the FREE expansion pack included. THEN there are hundreds of free downloads available.

I can assure you it's not the USPS system. I've heard that the Canadian mail system has been very slow lately. We ship plenty of good there and it usually takes almost 2 weeks.

Well its up to 3 weeks and a day.........you have to love Canada customs!!!!! Since most people in the US got theres within a week i'm guessing its been in Canada for over 2 weeks!!!!!! Thats two weeks to get it 1 hour from the border and its still not here yet !!!!

Sorry, i know no one cares but i had to let out my anger...lol !!!!

Hehehehe and you guys are complaining? Ask Dion about our planes that we imported to South Africa....Try a month and a half! Only took a week to get to SA and then got stuck in customs and at the post office! [:'(] :D

Dion, I tried to contact my postal service and it didnt' help at all... I know that it was sent by USPS was it sent by surface mail or air mail?? If it is surface mail won't it take close to 6 weeks to get here???

Well ordered mine today. I didn't want to because my CC is already smoking but the guy on my shoulder made me. Downloaded all my plane and can't wait to get started. Also, can't wait until I see it running on my system. I built a gaming rig in January with a ATI 9800pro 128mb and a AMD 64 3000+. So I will be able to use this sim and enjoy the graphics to the fullest.:D

Speaking of cards, I see you reccomend a ATI 9700 or 9800 for the graphics cards. Those are very powerful gaming cards. So with one of these cards what can I expect as in eye candy? Also, what resolutions does it support? Is there a menu for shadows and detail levels? orderd mine today. I don't have a sim yet, just my Nexstar sim. I want to move on to faster aircraft and some 3D so I figured to go with this over RF. Very excited about loading it up!!!!

Thanks for your purchase! I saw it come through. You've made a good choice .... you'll see why in a few days.

Personally I have a 9800 ATI card and get between 250-300 FPS. My 9700 card came in at around 175-250 FPS. Yes there is a menu for graphic details, scenery density, smoke density etc. The program supports up to 1280 x 1024.

what exactly does the verticle sync do?? when i enable it on the sim it keeps my FPS at a constant 60. w/o it enabled, i get around 3-400.......just asking.

Verticle sync makes it run at your monitors refresh rate. So if your monitor is 1280x1024@60hz it will run at 60fps.

I left Anti Aliasing off. Never messed with Anistrophic Filtering, however I'll give it a try. It runs so nice right out of the box, it never really needed any improving. The 9800 is such a sweet card.

Yes, my 9800pro has been a great card. Played every game in the book without sweating (except FarCry, it brought it to it's knees). Try 4xAA and 2XAF. At 250fps man it won't even work the card with AA and AF. Sorry if I seem to be concentrating on the graphics but I know AFP is a great sim, the graphics are just a bonus. You can tell the difference big time between a screenshot of it running at 16bit color,600x480, shadows low, details low, compared to 32bit color, 1280x1024, everything maxed as high as it can go. I'm a real junkie for eye candy.[&:]
