RE: G3 multiplayer screenshots
Wow, I am adult who likes to play with online simulations..........I have begun my journey of self discovery ( I am talking psychological here guys, not physical)
I go online to fly with other people, to interact, have fun........I do believe that this "hobby" is about having fun. Several of our local groups get together "Online" in the winter (once a week or so) to fly and joke with each other. The fact that there are "online communities" to do the same (RCU, Online G3, etc) is a great boon to the hobby. I myself try not to be narrow minded. |
RE: G3 multiplayer screenshots
When it comes to simultors, it's just not my thing. I know lots of guys that do the same thing in with MSFS and they get really into it, have online clubs and such.

RE: G3 multiplayer screenshots
Do you think I'm lying or something and I don't have it? I don't "play" online ever. I use simulators for simulation, not playing Woops:) |
RE: G3 multiplayer screenshots
It's flattering to see that G3 needs the best idea's from AFPD...........:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

RE: G3 multiplayer screenshots
I have tried it several times, it just doesn't do anything for me, that's all.
As far as simulating for simulation, my computer has more than one use. |

RE: G3 multiplayer screenshots
WOW Rick. Too bad your schemes aren't available anymore.[:o]
Woops:) |
RE: G3 multiplayer screenshots
His schemes? How about Aeroworks schemes. :D:D
|
RE: G3 multiplayer screenshots
If a painter does in oils and canvas the NewYork City skyline.........is the painting his/hers or does it belong to New York City?
For now on we will have to use a new reference.........hmmm.........how about " Cool render of (insert proper company and or entity's name here) color scheme." |

RE: G3 multiplayer screenshots
Rick, why don't you do a scheme for the G3 ultimate that looks like the bipe in STL's avatar.[sm=lol.gif]

RE: G3 multiplayer screenshots
Hey Rick, do one based on a WWI German Lozange fabric..........would be cool to fly the Ultimate and look like a WWI Ace or even the Red Barons Fokker Triplane.

RE: G3 multiplayer screenshots
It's a pretty scheme for sure. I like the fact that you gave them credit for the use of the scheme!

RE: G3 multiplayer screenshots
I'm still stuck with G2. I bought G2 and all the add ons, got hooked on multi-fly online, then multi-fly was not supported for G2 anymore. [:@] I think GreatPlanes should of given some kind of warning or option to change order to G3 before I got the program delivered. The G3 program was in the next sale flyer I received just days after purchase. The flyer was probaly mailed the same day as my G2 box. [:o] I'd like to join you at the online field BUT I'm not payin' another $200 for G3. Anyway, now I'm done complaining. (sorry) Back to the topic: Is the G3 mower useable on G2? If so can I have the link for downloading, Please. I dont have the other sim. Thanks for reading.

ORIGINAL: STLPilot It's a pretty scheme for sure. I like the fact that you gave them credit for the use of the scheme! The fact of the matter is that I dont sell planes for Aeroworks (or anybody else) and I dont sell trimschemes or planes for R/C sims. I think of my works as "tributes" to their real life counterparts. You mentioned in an earlier post something about me being upset about the QQ scheme. Well I did the work re-creating the QQ scheme for G3 and that guy simply changed a logo or two and then claimed that it was all his work. I stepped in and said "I did the work" and he backed off. All I ever wanted was the ability to make any plane I wanted for G3 and AFPD. I now have the software and the neccessary skills to create trimschemes for both sims and 3D models for both sims (AFPD sent me a direct exporter for 3DSmax). I was willing to freely share all my work with everybody but unfortunatly someone always wants to make trouble for me:eek: |
RE: G3 multiplayer screenshots
Actually I failed to give credit to Ruduolf Platz for the design of the Fokker DR1. I would like to take this opportunity to formally apologize to the desendents of Rudoulf Platz and any close friends of his that might be offended by my lack of thought when describing a much wished for color scheme for a GAME MADE 90 YEARS AFTER the plane was released for service to the German Air Service.

RE: G3 multiplayer screenshots
Rick you think I'm trying to start trouble and I'm not. You seem to be going from one extreme to the other extreme and we can't meet in the middle. As much as you like and enjoy reproducing other manufacturers models and schemes you still have to respect their concerns as well. You don't have to quit modeling just over a simple request like asking for a plug for use of shape.
The reason that I asked you to put the FlyingThingZ URL on your mower was only because if someone else saw it and didn't know that FlyingThingZ existed ... they may like it and copy it or do something else with it. With the URL on there the chances are very unlikely. Nobody is trying to make trouble for you, only you. The digital world is changing the way things get copied, it's making it very easy to replicate and take what does not belong to you. If you modeled your mower from the AFPD mower ... then guess what ... it's modeled from the exact CADS. Capice? If you don't like the fact that manufacturers are coming down on you for replicating their models or schemes without a simple courtesy phone call or permission it's not that you are doing something wrong, not us. We want you to use our models. Heck only 48 hours I gave Jim Bourke permission to use and OMP or FlyingThingZ plane for G3 and he was very happy about that. I only asked that he clearly plugged FTZ or OMP for the use there of. And this crap about Fokkers, Edges, Extras and other planes I could care less Prop Nut. Those are not my models, your just being a wise guy. But you guys might be really surprised to know that there are court battles going on from companies like Republic, American and Northrup suing diecast companies and other companies for use of the warbirds. It's getting ugly since the taxpayers were the ones that funded the planes in the first plance. But it just goes to show you that it's not always take take take. And your analogies like use of the NYC skyline is much different. |
RE: G3 multiplayer screenshots
The ugly part I can believe.

RE: G3 multiplayer screenshots
Dont you have a minor fiefdom to run someplace? The New York City skyline metaphore is exactly right. Rick is an artist using a computer as his canvas. He is not running a business that depends on the use of someone elses creative property. Just as someone that makes a plane for the product that you distribute doesnt need to check with Republic Aircraft Corp to get permission to post a P47 for download. You feel a need to argue, I have read several of your other posts, so please feel free to continue to argue. You will not convince me, Woops, nor (I hope) Rick to discontinue enjoying our hobby. Have a nice day.

So your saying that my trimschemes/planes are in fact illegal to make and distribute, dispite the fact that I will not make a single dime? Are you the same [link=http://72.14.203.104/search?q=cache:LQZtNeyoKD4J:the.honoluluadvertiser .com/article/2002/Mar/12/tc/tc03a.html+dion+cini&hl=en&gl=us&ct=clnk&cd=5]Dion Cini[/link] that stated publically... But officials at one site, St. Louis-based CopyMyDVD.com, said they are doing nothing wrong. Consumers have the right to copy their DVDs for personal use under the 1992 Home Audio Recording Act, CopyMyDVD spokesman Dion Cini said. Cini also said duplicated DVDs are inferior to the original copies in terms of image and sound quality, so they should be exempt from laws protecting DVDs. "We are not making an exact replica of a DVD," he said. "It's not a complete and legitimate product." I think you are, and if I am right wouldn't that make you the worlds largest hypocrite? |
